Who Is Eligible for a FREE HSC Flu Vaccination?
You may qualify for a free seasonal flu vaccine under Health and Social Care (HSC) Northern Ireland if you are:
- • All those aged 65 years and over on 31 March 2027
• All residents and staff of a care home registered with RQIA
• Those aged 18 years to under 65 years in clinical risk groups (as defined by the
influenza chapter in ‘Immunisation against infectious disease’ (the ‘Green Book’)
• Pregnant women
• Persons aged 18 to 64 years who are household contacts of people with
immunosuppression
• Carers
• High risk poultry and avian animal health workers
• High-risk cattle and swine workers
• Rough sleepers and homeless hostel users
• All health and social care workers

Private Flu Vaccination
If you do not qualify for a free HSC flu vaccination, we may offer a convenient private flu vaccination service for adults aged 18 years and over (subject to availability). This allows you to protect yourself without needing to attend your GP or health centre.
